When customers can see the prices before and after a discount, the perceived value of a product increases as they will think that they are getting more for a lower price point. In other words, visualizing savings can give customers a positive impression of the deal they are receiving.

Take the Kris collection lip crayon for example. Instead of thinking “I would be spending $22 on this,” customers would shift their mindset to “I'm saving $10 by buying this now.” This increases the likelihood of them making a purchase, resulting in improved conversions and lowered customer acquisition costs, and therefore increased profitability.
