The first website ever was published in April 1993 by the inventor of the internet Tim Berners-Lee.
The first website
The world's first ever website is still open[1] and can be browsed here. The original website was hosted on 30th April 1993 by Tim Berners-Lee and was dedicated to the World Wide Web project itself.

After leaving Apple in 1985, Steve Jobs founded NeXT Inc, and they launched the NeXT Computer which was used to host the world's first website by inventor of the internet Tim Berners-Lee.
