Analysing the IKEA Family program as a tactic to increase Customer Life Time Value and how an e-commerce store can implement the same.
Creating a sense of exclusivity, community, and personalisation amongst your customers is a great way to build and strengthen brand loyalty. When customers are rewarded with discounts and special offers for being loyal to your brand, it shows them your appreciation and also encourages them to continue shopping with you.
What is Ikea Family ?

IKEA’s membership program, “IKEA Family” offers an exclusive 5% in-store discount on all furniture and décor every visit to IKEA's loyal customers. On top of that, there are member-only offers, surprises, rewards and more. More importantly, it’s free to join, which further entices customers.
Start increasing customer loyalty on your store today. Here's how:
- From your Shopify Admin, go to Customers to add relevant tags for each customers i.e. VIP.
- Install Konigle to your Shopify store.
- Go to Settings under Store design, enable Customer based pricing.
- Next, from your Konigle dashboard go to increase LTV strategy, implement ‘Customer Based Pricing’ tactic.
- Create new pricing rule to reward your loyal customers based on the tag created in Step 1.
