Blogs are an effective way for online stores to acquire organic traffic, rank for keywords, and acquire backlinks, reducing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC). Samsung's 'Explore' page showcases products and provides helpful content. See how they do it!

Blogs are one of the key ways for online stores to acquire highly relevant organic traffic. It provides an opportunity for visitors and potential customers to get to know your brand in a way that doesn't involve “in your face” selling. Additionally, it's one of the easiest ways to rank for more keywords and acquire more backlinks. All these contributes to having a reduced Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)!

Samsung has an Explore’ page that shares useful lifestyle content and subtly highlight and showcase their products at the same time:

For example, a topic that pushes people to read on are ‘Life Hacks’ type of articles as they provide knowledge that people can gain after reading the article. As seen in the image above, 'How-tos’ and listicle content are great for driving traffic to a website as well!

On top of that, Samsung also cleverly positions their product as a solution to the problems highlighted. This helps readers to visualise how the products can be utilised and hence readers are more likely to convert into paying customers. This is called product led SEO. Overall, having a blog page is important as it can help online stores reduce CAC through spreading brand awareness and ranking higher for SEO.

Last but not least, the ability of an online store to harness SEO depends if the pages on the store can be accessed by a Search Engine i.e. Google. But most online stores that do not run on the Konigle Storefront suffer from an SEO issue called Orphan Pages.

Fixing orphan pages on your Shopify store can do easily done:

If you're creating content pages to drive traffic on your online store and want to make sure that all the pages are getting indexed or seen by search engines,

  1. Install Konigle on your Shopify store.
  2. From your Konigle dashboard go to reduce CAC, implement "Resolve orphan pages” tactic.
  3. Enable Resolve Orphan Pages Tool .
